Your Superpower of Voting.

Hey, I know you are busy. May be a hell lot of busy.

But I want your little attention to something you have been ignoring for a long time.

Can I?

As you are here already, I assume you were shouting yes!..

You may assume yourself a normal human who struggles daily to achieve what he desires or to fulfil the basics of your family.

It’s right to say that every human on this planet, is at least belongs to a particular nation.

And if, there is more than half of countries are democratic.

That means 58.2% of the world’s population lives within democratic rule.

Thus,

You may be the one who has the power called – VOTING.

It’s time to be aware!

In Hindi, there is a saying called ( जो बीत गया सो बीत गया। ) means “Time that passed, will never come back.”

But from now on, it’s time to be aware!

You as a voter should know what powers you have.

The time has come to stop thinking of yourself as a mere human being with no role in transforming the world.

You know ‘Ants’ – insects that we assume as very weak. Are the best coordinators in the world.

They form their own Social Structure, Division of Labor, Coordinated Foraging, Nest Building, Defence Mechanisms, and Complex Communication.

The point here is how they do it. – Yes’ with their unity & synergy towards one goal, forming a space to live easily.

Similarly goes with us, we need to vote because it’s our system to form unity and solidarity. To form a nation where living is easy and happier.

Batman doesn’t have any superpower but he defeats the villain by the good presence of decisions and action.

Thus, you are required to make good voting decisions so that your nation can flow easily towards growth with action.

Voting works like a ‘domino effect’ one by one vote leads to a fall in the biggest domino in the last,

similarly, each vote comprised in one direction can form any government or demolish it.

And surprisingly,

To activate this big domino effect button.

Your one finger is more than enough.

Still, you think you don’t have any superpower?

But the biggest question lights up is!

Whom to vote?

Without much political awareness!

How will I know whom to vote?

Before jumping on your question, I would like to read the below quote by Pericles.

This quote destroys the thought of why should I vote.

Thus, the question should not be whom to vote.

Because you will also have an option called NOTA (None of the above).

But with the best practices and thinking from a civilised responsible voter you can keep these points in mind:

1. Check the history and facts related to the growth/decline of the nation by the current government.
2. How much do their policies/decisions impact the nation and individuals?
3. Feel free to use NOTA if you think none of the candidates deserves to get your vote.
4. Compare different parties’ manifestos, and do a history check on whether they do what they say.
5. Ignore media and heavily manipulated campaigns run by parties during elections.

As a proud Indian. I am grateful to be living in a fully democratic economy.

This 2024 we have the occurrence of a big election.

It’s more exciting because of there is ‘one against all’ situation for the first time in Indian political history till independence.

Be knowledgeable and give your precious vote to whom you think deserves.
