Everyone, trying to be someone, 

Who are you trying to be?

Chasing an identity, what do you know, who will you turn out to be?

Do you think you’ll be an original, 

Did you check the authenticity?

Or are you one of the infatuated? 

And just following blindly?

After you’ve become what you wanted to be,

Do you really feel accomplished?

Or have you commenced the journey already,

Of being someone new, that you now want to be.

How are you willing to spend your life?

Chasing the image, nothing more than a dream. 

Who should you go to, whom should you ask, 

Who will guide you on this non-existent path?

This life that you haven’t figured out yet, 

Do you live by losing or finding yourself? 

How do you ever make the best of it?

Erring as you progress, still trying to unravel.

So, tell me what’s found when all else is left.

And tell me what’s lost, 

when you’ve found yourself.
