Within my mind, illusions dwell,
Whispering secrets, I cannot quell.
They dance and sway, a tantalizing show,
But deep down inside, I know they’re not real though.
These illusions, spin a web,
A trap that holds me, a heavy dread.
They promise glory, love, and fame,
But in reality, they only bring me shame.
I chase these dreams with fervent zeal,
Blinded by the illusions’ sweet appeal.
But when I reach out to grasp their hold,
My hands grasp at nothing empty and cold.
Illusions, they are but a trick,
A mirage that fades, a candlewick.
I must learn to see through their disguise,
To break free and open my eyes.
For though they seem so real and true,
These illusions are not the real you.
It’s time to cast them all aside,
And find the path where true joy and peace reside.
So let us bid these illusions adieu,
And embrace the world, so bright and new
For though the journey may be hard,
The reward is worth the fight, the guard.
